Can't Believe It's Already 2026: Reflections on Holidays, Hardships, and HopeI can hardly wrap my head around it—it's already March 2026. Just like that, Christmas, New Year's, and Lunar New Year have come and gone in a blur. The lights are packed away, the fireworks have faded, and here we are, well into a brand-new year.
Â
These past few months brought moments of joy and togetherness, as they always do. Families gathered, traditions were honored, and for a little while, the world felt a bit warmer. But stepping back, it's impossible to ignore the heavier side of things. Geopolitically, the world feels more turbulent than ever. Wars and conflicts rage on in too many places—Ukraine, Sudan, Myanmar, the Middle East, and beyond—leaving countless lives shattered and communities in pain.
Â
The headlines remind us daily that peace feels distant for so many. It's still hard to believe we made it through COVID-19 and those long, isolating lockdowns. We survived a global crisis that tested our resilience, our patience, and our humanity. For that alone, we should feel deeply grateful. We woke up each day, adapted, and kept going—many of us with scars, but still here.Yet even with that gratitude, it's heartbreaking to see how much suffering continues. For some people, life has started to feel meaningless amid the constant fighting, hurt, and division. We hurt each other—sometimes over borders, beliefs, or power—and the cycle keeps turning.Despite all of this, I refuse to lose hope.
Â
I wish for world peace, truly and deeply. It doesn't matter what religion you follow, what background you come from, or what language you speak—peace should be for everyone. A world filled with more love, more kindness, more understanding, and less violence.Let's hold onto that vision. Let's hope—and work—for a better, more peaceful future where compassion wins out over conflict.Wishing you all strength, gratitude, and a little more light in the days ahead.

Here's to hoping 2026 brings us closer to the kinder world we all deserve. What are your thoughts as we move through this new year? I'd love to hear in the comments.
